The course provides the participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to operate a Fast Rescue Boat (FRB) in accordance with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW), as amended. The course covers the following topics: – Boat handling – Search and rescue operations – Use of radio and navigational equipment – Firefighting – First aid
The course meets the requirements as recommended in FRB IMO course 1.24 as related to FRB in STCW section A-VI/2-1 & A-VI/2-2 of the STCW 2010 code.
