- At the end of this course participants will be able to:
- Familiarize themselves with the principles of navigation.
- Acquaint themselves with the standards of bridge organization.
- Familiarize themselves with the composition of a navigational watch under the STCW Code
- Familiarize themselves with the watchkeeping arrangements under the STCW Code
- Realize and apply the importance of bridge team management
- Execute an effective bridge team management and utilize bridge resources according to its limitations as aids to navigation under pilotage waters and other conditions of navigation
- Enhance situational awareness towards critical situation during navigation
